The AE Techron 8000 Series is a scalable portfolio of four-quadrant amplifiers for a wide range of testing and power supply tasks. The product family comprises the 8300, 8500, 8600 and 8700 Series, each addressing different electrical and dynamic requirements.

Applications range from pulse-intensive and transient overvoltage testing to EMC applications, reactive load testing, continuous high-power operation and high-frequency testing up to 250 kHz.

The appropriate series is selected primarily according to voltage, power, bandwidth and load profile. This allows the amplifier system to be matched to the actual test requirement while avoiding unnecessary oversizing.

Advantages

  • Application-specific portfolio: Four amplifier series covering different test, load and frequency requirements.
  • Flexible system dimensioning: Selection according to voltage, power, bandwidth and load profile.
  • Broad application range: Suitable for transient testing, EMC applications, reactive loads, high-power operation and high-frequency testing.
  • Standards-related applications: Series addressing applications associated with DO-160 Section 16, MIL-STD-704 and IEC 61000.
  • Reduced oversizing: Selecting the appropriate series can avoid unnecessary power reserves and additional system costs.
  • Technical support from EMCO: Assistance in matching the test requirement to a suitable AE Techron amplifier series.

Key features

  • Amplifier technology: Four-quadrant amplifiers for testing and power supply tasks.
  • Product series: 8300, 8500, 8600 and 8700.
  • Selection parameters: Voltage, power, bandwidth and electrical load profile.
  • Maximum stated frequency: Up to 250 kHz within the 8700 Series.
  • Pulse applications: The 8300 Series is intended for pulse-intensive applications.
  • Reactive loads and transients: The 8500 Series addresses reactive loads, transient testing and EMC applications.
  • Continuous high-power operation: The 8600 Series is intended for continuous high-power applications and fast rise times.
  • High-frequency testing: The 8700 Series is intended for ripple, dynamic and capacitor ripple testing up to 250 kHz.

Additional information

Selecting an amplifier requires the complete test application to be considered. The relevant parameters include the required voltage, output power, frequency or bandwidth and the behaviour of the connected load.

EMCO Elektronik is the local contact for AE Techron products in Germany and Austria. EMCO supports the technical assessment of the application and the selection of an appropriate series within the 8000 portfolio.
