The EMC HLM-08 is a Helmholtz coil designed for Low Frequency Magnetic Field Susceptibility Testing on military equipment, subsystems and electronic devices under test. It generates a relatively uniform magnetic field and supports EMC Qualification Tests according to relevant standards and test methods.
The coil is specified for operation from DC to 30 MHz and can be used for both continuous current tests and pulse current applications.
Advantages
- Relatively uniform magnetic field for reproducible susceptibility testing.
- Reduced EMC Qualification Test Time thanks to a defined test setup.
- Suitable for military EMC testing on equipment and subsystems.
- Adjustable specimen support with optic fibre feed-through.
- Usable for continuous and pulsed magnetic field tests.

Additional information
The EMC HLM-08 is part of an EMCTEST Technologies Helmholtz coil series. The 50 Hz test shown in the datasheet for the HLM-08 indicates a linear magnetic induction response versus voltage. A 50 Hz signal test is also presented for the HLM-10 model.
EMCO supports customers in selecting suitable test equipment for EMC, immunity and susceptibility applications, especially when test setups must comply with military or industrial standards.
