The EMC-SHC-BOX-EM-3 is a shielded anechoic chamber from the EM series for RF, telecommunication and precompliance applications. It is designed for measurement tasks requiring a controlled shielded environment for communication devices and larger DUTs.
With an operating frequency range from 0.8 to 6 GHz, the chamber is particularly suitable for testing routers, laptops and ISM, GSM and UMTS communication devices. Its shielding performance is ≥ 75 dB at 2.4 GHz and ≥ 70 dB at 5.8 GHz, depending on the installed feed thrus.

The EMC-SHC-BOX-EM-3 is designed for use with larger DUTs and combines a shielded chamber structure with optional internal anechoic lining. The chamber is fully modular, allowing connections and options to be adapted to the required test configuration.
The shielding performance depends on the type of installed feed thrus. Several connection options are available for integration into measurement setups:

- RF feed thrus: SMA, N, BNC.

- Internal antennas: Log 900–2400 MHz, 1–10 GHz.
- Anechoic lining: planar anechoic material on all internal walls.

For a configuration with anechoic floor, internal dimensions of 560 x 750 x 450(h) mm are specified. The chamber can also host line filters for AC and DC power supplies up to 1000 V.
