The EMC-SHC-LAP from EMCTEST Technologies is an RF Shieldbox for laptops as well as ISM, GSM and UMTS communication devices. It operates over the frequency range from 800 MHz to 8 GHz and is designed for applications requiring a controlled environment with high RF shielding effectiveness.
With internal dimensions of 43 x 44 x 31 cm, the shieldbox is suitable for larger DUTs compared with compact chambers for small handheld devices. The opening system is pneumatic and controlled by buttons.

Additional information
The EMC-SHC-LAP is CAD-designed and CNC-constructed to provide a highly shielded environment for RF measurements. Heavy-duty, high-performance fabric non tissue gaskets are used at all joint locations to ensure a reliable RF-tight closure.
The interior can optionally be equipped with RF plain absorbers. These absorbers provide a typical RF attenuation of -80 dB at 2.4/5.8 GHz, making the chamber particularly suitable for testing in these frequency ranges.
A modular technical panel allows input and output connections to be configured according to the application. The unit can also host line filters for AC and DC power supplies up to 1000 V.
