The SHC-COMPACT from EMCTEST Technologies is a Portable Shielded Chamber for sensitive RF, microwave and telecom measurements over the frequency range from DC to 20 GHz. It is designed for small communication devices, RF modules, microwave devices and antennas where a controlled shielded measurement environment is required.

The compact chamber combines a rugged INOX steel and Ergal construction with a space-saving form factor. It is suitable for pre-compliance tests, receiver sensitivity tests, path loss measurements, sensor calibration and other measurements requiring effective RF shielding.

Additional information

The SHC-COMPACT is designed for small communication devices such as mobile phones and comparable devices. The interior can optionally be equipped with RF plain absorbers providing typical RF attenuation of -90 dB at 3 GHz. This configuration is particularly suitable for 2.4 GHz testing.

The modular technical panel allows input and output connections to be configured according to the application. Available options include USB, RS-232, RJ-45, RJ-11, RF feedthroughs with SMA, N or BNC, fiber optic feedthrough, quad-band omni antennas, antenna couplers, an optional shielded window, internal anechoic walls, a technical panel and an integrated wideband antenna coupler.

The chamber can host line filters for AC and DC power supplies up to 1000 V. EMCO supports technical users in selecting and configuring suitable shielded chambers for RF, microwave, telecom, EMC and pre-compliance applications, as well as in assessing integration into existing test and measurement environments.
